All Baseball... All theTime!

Luke is in traveling baseball this year.  The Raptors have a really impressive record already, even finishing 2nd overall in a long tournament this past Memorial Day weekend.  Luke is awesome at third base and short stop, and has pitched some impressive innings, too!

General Jimmy "Luke" Doolittle!

Luke was General Jimmy Doolittle for his school's history fair this year.  He really dressed the part, and did a great job speaking as the General about the famous Doolittle Raiders.  The daring raid by Army bombers from Navy carriers was the first attack by the U.S. on the Japanese mainland after Pearl Harbor.  Luke was even able to show off an actual Newspaper from the time - a Minneapolis Star Tribune that Gramps had saved for all these years!

Archers!

Libby and her friend Christi spent Saturday morning at the archery range... pretty awesome!

Cinco de Mayo 8K!

Chip, Jack and Ruth ran the Cinco de Mayo 8K race around Lake Nokomis on May 5th.  The early morning, 5-milier was a good start for the spring running season for us.  Jack took first in his age group, and got a gift certificate to Marathon Sports!

Prom Night for the Raptors!

Jack and Jenna went to the East Ridge High School Senior Prom this weekend... they looked above average, to say the least!

Happy Birthday, Libby!

Libby turned 15 on April 3rd... hooray!

Marco Island!

A belated post about our trip to Marco Island, Florida for Spring Break!  We had a fabulous time in a rental house right on one of island's canals.  We spent time at the pool and relaxing around this beautiful home - and got out and about of course:  to the beaches, a Twins spring training game, an air boat ride in the Everglades, and a pontoon trip to Keewaydin Island.  What a relaxing vacation!
